During the day, volunteers will be paired with a small group of students as they walk through Finance Park. They will be assigned a persona and be responsible for understanding the savings, budget, and other financial needs of this persona.
Students will be given a job, and a budget, and will navigate through the JA Finance Park making purchases, renting an apartment, grocery shopping for their assigned household members, and so much more!!
A primary purpose of the JA programs is to encourage creativity by the students.
Training for volunteers will begin at 8:30am on the morning of the event. This training will equip you in your role as a volunteer. For security purposes, the building will not open until 8:20am for entry. One of our staff members will be in the lobby to greet you and direct you to the Capstone room.
